Running SPH covered calls helps you generate consistent income from Suburban Propane Partners LP's shares you already own, turning a long stock position into a yield-producing asset. A covered call on Suburban Propane Partners LP involves holding the underlying stock and selling a call option against it, collecting premium in exchange for capping upside at the strike price. Use our scanner to find the best SPH covered calls in real time and filter for the strikes, expiries, and premiums that fit your strategy.

A covered call is one of the most widely used options strategies because it pairs limited risk with a clear income profile: if SPH stays below the strike at expiration, you keep the premium and the shares; if it rises above, you deliver the stock at the strike and still pocket the premium. Selling SPH covered calls works best when implied volatility is elevated, since richer premiums improve the risk-reward. Key inputs to evaluate include strike selection relative to delta, days to expiration, annualized return, and the probability of assignment — all of which determine whether a given Suburban Propane Partners LP covered call is worth writing.

Suburban Propane Partners, L.P., through its subsidiaries, engages in the retail marketing and distribution of propane, fuel oil, and refined fuels. The Fuel Oil and Refined Fuels segment engages in the retail distribution of fuel oil, diesel, kerosene, and gasoline to residential and commercial customers for use primarily as a source of heat in homes and buildings. The Natural Gas and Electricity segment markets natural gas and electricity to residential and commercial customers in the deregulated energy markets in New York and Pennsylvania. The All Other segment sells, installs, and services a range of home comfort equipment, including whole-house heating products, air cleaners, humidifiers, and space heaters.
