FAQ: How to read the table header - Covered Call

Here is a quick explanation about the table headers and how to best use them.

Let's start from the left: Actions allow you to interact and activate advance feature for the specific row. by pressing the "plus" sign you can trade, share or send to trade log a trade. Analyze button will open a chart and more data on that trade. Ticker - is the stock symbol. For every stock we give you only one trade - The best one that suits your criteria. On hover you can see the stock chart. Price - Last EOD price. Real time data is coming soon. Strike - The option strike. The number in brackets in how fat that strike from the last price. Bid is the option bid. The number in brackets is the current yield. Stock Score - This is a proprietary scoring system for stocks, designed so you only see relevant trades when you scan. This help you save time when you trade. The arrows indicate the last week change in scoring. The scoring is a mixture of EPS growth and valuation. You can read more about it in our stock score posts. Annual return - This is an annualized standardization of the bid expected return. This will allow you to better compare trades for different time frames. The formula is [bid_return] * 365 / [Days_To_Expiration]

Sector - The stock's sector IV Rank - Implied volatility rank - This is a ranking tool that compares and ranks the stock's implied volatility over the past year. A value of 98% means that the current IV is higher then 98% of that stock's IV over the past year. Generally - when IV is high (80%+) It is better to sell options and vise verse - When IV is low (20%-) It is better to buy options. Read more in the IV posts. Earning date - The expected earning reports date for that stocks. During this day we can expect higher volatility and thus we might want to close the trade before that date. Dividends - Dividends effect stock price and research shows that stocks that distribute dividend regularly out perform the benchmark. In these columns you can see the future ex dividend and the amount and yield. OI - Open Interests - The amount of open contracts on that strike. Usually the higher the number the more liquid that option. Expiration Date - That contract expiration date and number of days left.
